Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM)/ Osteopathhic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is a field of medicine performed by doctors of Osteopathy (DOs), who are fully board certified physicians.
All DOs get 250+ hours of hands-on manipulation training in school for common ailments such as back pain, headaches, stiffness and much, much more. OMM spans a wide range of techniques from gentle low-impact treatments that patients sometimes compare to reiki, to more aggressive techniques similar to what you may have seen chiropractors online do.

No! While OMM is still a manual therapy, DOs (Doctor of Osteopathy) are licensed medical doctors with extra hands-on training in manual manipulation integrated into their training.
Chiropractors specialize only in musculoskeletal conditions and have a more limited scope of practice than doctors and do not prescribe medications or perform surgery. Chiropractors often work within healthcare systems or can have stand alone practices.
Many patients that have been to a chiropractor with mixed results can see much benefit from Osteopathic Treatments with less visits and more time with the doctor with NO POPPING OR CRACKING.

Nope! While Massage Therapy is also a form of bodywork, it is more generic loosening of tissues and doesn't specifically target individual muscles that may be tight and pulling everything else out of place.
Physical Therapists can sometimes do some hands-on techniques, but their main focus is strengthening your muscles, OMT can work in conjunction with PT by getting your muscles back in alignment so your exercises work better.
