Bomani Osteopathy accepts cash and credit cards, but does not accept insurance, including Medicare/ Medicaid. A superbill will be available after each visit to be submitted to your insurance for out-of-network coverage/ reimbursement. The amount that is covered depends on your individual insurance provider, and all inquiries should be directed towards them. As we cannot guarantee your insurance coverage, you are responsible for all payments on the day services are rendered.

OMM is a safe and non-invasive technique that is typically not painful during or after.
For some patients you may have some discomfort after the visit for a few days, this should feel like a heavy workout. Normally this will resolve on it’s own within a few days.
If you are having increased pain after the visit, or have any other concerns, please contact our office.
-
New patient visits are typically 90 minutes and follow up visits 45 minutes, unless otherwise specified by Dr. Bomani-Bailey.
For acute (new) complaints, treatment course can be 1-3+ treatments, spaced a few weeks apart.
For chronic (old) complaints, treatment course starts with a few treatments clustered a few weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 6 weeks to 6 months, or as needed.

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment time to allow time for parking and to get settled. If you arrive after the start time of your appointment, this will deduct from the total length of your visit. To allow following visits to start promptly, time will not be added to the end of your scheduled appointment time to accommodate tardiness.
If you arrive more than 50% into your appointment you will be considered a No-Show (please see cancellation policy below) and will likely be rescheduled. You will be charged a No-Show fee, even if you reschedule in person. If you are granted an exception and seen for your visit, please be advised that it will be a much shortened visit and you will likely be asked to reschedule a closer follow up to continue your treatment plan.
-
Please cancel appointments as early as possible. The office reserves the right to charge the patient for half of the appointment if not canceled 24 hours in advance. We also reserve the right to charge your full visit cost for any missed appointments. If you miss more than half of your appointment time without contacting the office then you will be considered a No-Show patient and most likely asked to reschedule, as there will not be enough time to conduct an adequate visit. Please contact the doctor or use your patient portal to cancel.

ONMM is a separate field from chiropractics and from massage therapy. There are sometimes techniques that look similar or overlap, however, but OMM tends to be more gentle than chiropractors and more specific than massage therapy. The best way to find out is to book a visit today!
